You know I think 7k realy isnt bad bandwidth at all for 237mhz.

I'am inches away from being Doom3 stable with 7k bandwidth, and 2600mhz on water.

Either I need to bump the vcore up from 1.625 or give the mem just a kiss more juice

1.65vcore is doable but the vdimm isnt in the cards LOL!

Their just isnt any reason to stick this chip in the freezer till I come up with ......
Faster Ram

7000 in Sandra with only 237MHz is damn good. If I could find RAM that can run at 260 with 2.85v, I think my chip could run at 3150MHz.

Looks good sierra. I love the Sub Zero case badge...lol! Very appropriate for your box now.

Here's a quick shot of my FX-53 box. The Zalman OPT 1 sits over my Northbridge, CPU Water Block and even throws a little bit of air towards the EB Ram. The side window fan catches the back side of the Video Card as well. And of course all the pretty pretty lights make the entire system a good 50 MHz faster at least!

and the P4 2.4c system of Doom!

Excuse my sillyness

But it still puzzzzzzls the _ _ _ _ why some can run ht x5 and some {me} cant at higher htt's ???

And then the next puzzler, just when do you notice a difference between x3 x4 or x5 ???

I mean x5 should be faster right??
OK then what do I use to measure and see that it's faster ??

Will 3D Mark improve?
Will games be faster?

In theory, x5 should be faster, but I don't know if anyone has proven that it is. It's kinda like AGP 8X was supposed to be a lot faster than AGP 4X. Yeah, right.

On the A8V, x5 is not really x5 if you're using the beta BIOS. It's more like x4. I think this was done to increase stability.

I belive you hit the nail on the head

I just set it down to 200htt so I could run x5 {Abit AV8}

Ran sandra cpu/mem/mmx at x5-x4-x3
Ran 3DM 01 at x5-x4-x3

IMO their is no difference. Maybe it shows up in workstation applacations ?

Chillin is coming along fine. Believe me, phase change is nice during these summer months. I'm thinking about finding better cooling for the video card. Swiftech makes a chiller that's supposed to be pretty good. But it's kinda complicated and expensive.

Probably not. I think it uses a lot of electricity. My utility bill would likely double. lol.
