CPU advise - Please help !

Hi guys long time no post! How are you all? im looking on doing one final upgrade to my machine b4 I do a full system upgrade, my system is more than enough for anything at the moment, only thing that lacks is my cpu, so I want to get a new one ... which of there would be best ?

X2 4400/4600/4800+ - here im totally lost, I want good performance but don’t wana spend a small fortune getting it, which would be the best choice outa these 3?

FX 55/57 - would you choose any of these 2 over the x2 cpus? And if so why?

Any help appreciated.

Regards Ryan

Go for an AMD X2 IMHO don't buy FX chipsets.
Depending on your budget 4400+ or 4800+ (cos higher multiplier).

BUY INTEL

If you're a diehard AMD fanboy though, wait for Barcelona/Kuma generation, because the current AMD chips are getting spanked hard.

I wont buy anything for a while, i spent big £ on my setup, so adding an fx60 was the last and best upgrade i could get, ill use this system for another year or so, add a dx10 vid card, it should still be quick enough.
