Its warranty is also valid up to 3.6V unlike other OCZ memory which is usually 3.1V and non-OCZ memory is usually only under warranty up to something useless like 2.6-2.7V

Can you help me understand why my bandwidth is so low at 285 ??

Probably because of those two 3's (RAS-to-CAS & RAS Precharge) in your timings. Someone over at XS got his TCCD up to 327, but with RAS-to-CAS at 4. His bandwidth is about the same as yours.

What I like about VX is the unbuffered results which tend to be more telling of real world performance.

Ballistix uses the same type of chips (Micron) as OCZ EB. Those chips seem to deliver more bandwidth at the same timings as other memory. Hence the name "enhanced bandwidth".

I think cromozone had a good observation earlier about the memory controller on A64's. My CPU doesn't seem to like TCCD at all, but it loves very low latency RAM. I think slight differences in the controllers on various CPU's may help explain why some people get great results with TCCD, while others don't.

You know I'll buy into that. I've seen some opf the chips I've tested that no matter what couldnt run stable above 1:1 @250 reguardless of multi, and others of the same speed grade could.

Have you heard anything on the 90nm FX55's ?

I've heard a few details about the E0 stepping CPU's, but nothing about a release date.

My new SLI-DR A-01 runs the TCCD's also at 300htt 3 ghz 1T, 2.9v so at least we know that OCZ TCCD have no issues with the board.

Sandra is over 8000 with 2.5-4-3-7-1T. Seems that at 300htt 2.5-3-3 to 2.5-4-3 doesn't make a huge diff. I can run2.5-3-3 but I think stability would suffer at only 2.9v at 300HTT. I'm pretty satified right here. And I didn't even know my FX55 would run Stable at 3 ghz on water till the DFI.

Have you run Sandra unbuffered? You need to uncheck 9 boxes.

Sandra mem performance jumps up for people using the FX55 due to the 1mb cache... For example, i had my old OCZ Plat Rev 2 at 280 on a 3200 winchester@2.7 and got circa 7600 in sandra... with an FX55 at 2.80 and still 280FSB i got 8300 in sandra.

Hope that helps.... High 7k's is excellent with a 512MB Cache chip
