A little higher. SuperPi time isn't that great because of lower memory speed.

Sierra, I am sure you have explained this before but why again does SmartGuardian read your temp at like 236 degrees? Is it something with the cooling you have setup?

SmartGuardian does not read sub-zero temps correctly. Once you get below zero centigrade, the monitor jumps to 255C and then works its way down again. So 236C would actually be around -19C.

I have always set startup to the same voltage as the other setting. Otherwise it may get cold boot issue if you clock too high.

Wow, nice clock. Why don't you lower the multi, up the htt and see if it holds?

I will sometime later. Got to get ready for work soon. Probably won't have a chance to do thorough testing until the weekend. Might be a little cooler then. Outside temp is forecast to be around 100F for the next few days.

Sierra has some settings guides somewhere in this thread. Check the first page first.

hey Sierra, what was the problem of running 1/2 multipliers on the NF4 again? I have forgotten why it ends up in a net loss of performance.

Ross, set your LDT to 3X or if that doesn't work, try auto. make sure your Dram Timing setting towards the bottom of the dram section of the bios is set only to "normal"

I can't see what ram/bios and cpu are you using?

Redlines require Trfc to be set at around 16 or 17. I used 17 when I had a pair. I stole this screenshot from another forum because I can't seem to find any of my old Redline screens.

ok i took some pics of my bios to show you the settings. this booted but had to turn fsb down to 255mhz x 10.

http://www.rosssivi.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/settings.rar

if you look at the ram volts it is set to 2.4v but the bios reads it differently.... could this be the problem? the volts arent actually getting up to 3.4?

Your CPU is the bottleneck An average 3500+ does 2500Mhz at best, so when you are trying 270x10 the CPU can't handle that. Try and get it stable at 250 x 10 and work up from there.

I agree the avrage 3500+ NC is doing real good to get 2500Mhz on water, you may get a few more Mhz with tweeking.
