Board just gets better and better. Loosened secondary timings a little. Also had good load temp (-51C) on the evaporator. KHX3200 @ 2-2-2-5. Can almost could do 3423MHz stable

Was using these timings. Everything set in BIOS. Just fired up the board this morning and started at 3355MHz, then gradually went higher.

Wow, very nice Sierra.

Quick question, whats the max voltage I should be putting in my OCZ 3200EL without too much risk of killing it or the MB? I have it actively cooled.

To follow up on an earlier post I made, I gave up on memtest. I test RAM stability through SuperPI now since memtest was not giving any errors. Seems with windows loaded there is extra stress added or something.

Thanks. What voltage are you using now? 2.9v should be okay. Not sure how that would affect your warranty.

RAM is under warranty for 2.9v. I am using 2.9v now but have tried up to 3.1v stability testing. I'm not sure if they can tell what voltage was put into the RAM if I had a problem but I'm not really worried about warranty service. I just wanna squeeze as much out of this RAM as I can.

Well, if 3.1v isn't helping you, then you should start playing with the timings in the BIOS. 2.5-4-3-7 seems to work best with TCCD from what I've seen. Also play with the secondary timings.

I have been using 2.5-3-3-7 mainly, I didn’t really see any difference in stability using looser timings (tried 3-3-3-7, 3-4-4-10, etc). I set all the secondary timings to auto since I didn’t have a clue what they did. I found that 280Mhz was benchmark and memtest stable but not superPI stable. I was using 280x9, RAM 1:1 but did not get any different bandwidth than 252x10 plus it wasn’t fully stable anyway. I haven’t tried 2.5-4-3-7 yet, I will give it a try tonight. Is it a bad idea to try >3.1v?

My CPU is an older one, week 25 so it is kind of stubborn for OCing. It does 2520 @ 1.55v but I cant get 1 more FSB even when upping volts to 1.675v.

I have a 80mm fan over mine and at 3.0xv. I wouldn't go much over 3.1 on tccd, and it has to be somewhat recent vintage tccd to take any volts above like 2.9.

2.5-4-3-7-1T helps when you get around 300htt. More voltage may allow 2.5-3-3-7 but there isn't a huge gain there. Make sure your LDTx is 3X above 275-280.

Finally the board is getting a bit more stable for me... was able to bench 3DMark03... though ambient temps were 24C so my vapo temps were crappy hence the low OC but not a bad score for starters....
