Still chipping away at it. Almost got it to 3.5GHz. Setting all DRAM in auto in BIOS to see what comes up in A64 Tweaker. I'm certain some fine tuning will make a big difference in the times.

Actually it would probably last only the weekend if I did all-day benching.

Got word from Jason that my mousepot has shipped. Should get it Wednesday. I also know exactly where the Praxair shop is in my area. I happened to drive by it this evening and saw the sign.

i mean with a cooler that good, if you bought a lot of dry ice, you could use it in a 24/7 sytem (if you really wanted too).

For a little fun, why not setup your cascade outside during the winter and use the bad weather to your advantage!

I don't have a cascade. I have a Vapochill which is a single-stage cooler. Cascades are dual and triple-stage, and run much colder.

The big issue with extreme cooling is the infamous "cold bug". At certain sub-zero temps, the memory controller stops functioning properly. When that happens, you can't run with high memory speed. Some CPU's seem to be more immune to the cold bug than others. Usually the older chips handle extreme cold better.

Ok, looks like I have a small USB issue here although I can't be certain. My Razor Diamondback mouse driver simply disappears occasionally whenever I boot up or reboot my computer. It's hooked up via a USB port so I was thinking this may be a USB issue. Would switching the USB power selection jumper to USB5SB fix this issue or is this something else?

BTW....I'm using the DFI UT NF4 Ultra-D mobo.

common problem on all the NF4 boards. The switch might help.

FYI, there are several "CABNE" Opterons for sale on Ebay. I may put in a bid on one of them later in the week.

Looks awesome! Is this the weekend you're going for the Super Pi record?

Ha, don't know about any records. Will have to see how the chip handles dry ice. Have my fingers crossed. Best time with the Vapochill is 20mins 31secs which is tops in the world for single-stage cooling. First objective is to get under 20mins.
