That really is good for an x700, if I remember correctly I used to score around that range with my BFG 6800 GT OC and a 3800+.....

I tell you one thing though....DFI set the 16x slots way way to close togather.

It's gona be one bugger bear to get water blocks 2x VC's in the tight lil space.

Why did they feel the need to include that 4x pcie slot, just below the cpu???
What the heck are we gona need a 4X slot for ?????

Yea me two
Truth is @ 1024x768 no AA or AF the x700Pro holds it's own against a 68GT.

But I tell you in gameing the 68GT is just palin better at 1280x1024 with AA and AF.

TCCD performance seems to be hit and miss with this board. Some people are getting great results while others are struggling. Eventually I'll figure everything out. On Saturday, I felt like throwing the board out the window. Sunday was good and Monday was better still.

Talking

I'm a man without an A64+ CPU as of now so basically, I'm just standing here and watch you guys struggle. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I groan, sometimes I'm just as frustrated as you guys are. I'm observing very carefully all the things you guys do so hopefully when and if I ever get mine, I will at least have a base to start off. Keep it up, guys. Hopefully, you guys will come up with a sweetspot for not only DFI board, but other name brands as well. Me, I'm going Asus all the way, but why should I say that, I don't even have a CPU yet!!!!

Made some good progress tonight. Switched to OCZ Gold VX. Still working on improving RAM speed. 2-2-2-8 @ 3.6v.

You actuly have that VX stuff stable at 255 ??

I bought 3 gigs of that stuff one time and out of 6 sticks only 2 could hit 260, and I mean hit because all i could do with them was pull off a copula bench marks inbetween BSOD's

even down at 240 a single round of CS:S was impossable without spontanious reboot.

How much do you think the memory controller on the cpu relates to the problems that people have at high HTT, such as my issue where I can't run 2.5-3-3-7 at DDR600? Is it possible that because the CPU is poor, that would hinder memory performance?

The memory controller can definitely be one of many factors. When I was experimenting with a winchester I had problems getting anywhere cause the memory controller on my 3200+ sucked... using the winnie with all the exact same hardware as when I used an FX-53 I couldn't reach the same HTT...

I've seen some guys on XS hit 330 2.5-3-3-6 win the LA, but 2x256 and they probably had "golden" sticks

I got an A01 today and just in case I have an ULtra-D plain coming tomorrow. I am not taking any chances. I'll hope for the best, but I'm going to take home my Balistics in case the tccd won't boot to flash the bios update.
