| Bestfriends.scr virus I still cannot believe i clicked the stupid link in my friends profile, i figured myself for pretty intelligent but it appears not. The websites i've visited have given me programs that don't work completely, and told me to delete registry values that haven't done anything substantial. The virus prevents any kind of security device from opening as well as from me even opening up internet explorer (I'm using netscape, which doesn't help cause my version isn't letting me download things now). Any help on the matter would be appreciated, as it is basically crippling my computing

| try using system mechanic5 pro www.iolo.com, ad-aware se pro and some good virus solution run all scans and ur pc will be fine... and start using mozilla

| even i had some virus i think it was sasser which prevented me from opening the run command the msconfig dxdiag even norton ultimately i used the stinger and crashed ma pc "No welcome screen juz black screen and the cursor" i had to format the pc so i advice u to not use the stinger virus removal tool use the one given on symantec website 1 morething u havent mentioned the name of the virus? is .scr the name of the virus?

| .scr is the extension for a screen saver. Apparently the virus installs itself hidden within one of those. A .scr file is executable just like an .exe file. |
