| Cisco ASA Setup Question Hello Everyone, I’ve been trying to get my ASA to functioning in my environment. I have a question about the NAT setup of the device. Here is a screenshot of the setting in question… w w w . u s a . e d u / Cisco_ASA_Setup_Question.jpg (sorry it's not hyperlinked but ABX won't let me do this untill I post more threads! ) It was my understanding that NAT is the process in which my outbound request packets from internal clients (10.0.0.X or 192.168.1.X networks) are rewritten to appear like they are coming from a single public IP address ( As in 66.0.55.XXX). This screen is prompting me to choose NAT or PAT. When you read the description in the prompt, it sounds like PAT is what I want to do because I... “…want the source address to be the same for all outbound sessions.” What type of address translation should I choose? -David |
