Exclamation Re: FBI Says Military Had Counterfeit Cisco Routers

That just figures. I wonder what would hapen if anybody made a serious intrusion on things like that?!?! At least it was just a test, the V chips in TVs have AUDIO INPUTS for transmitting sound back out of the set when it's off. Chips have had unlisted functionalities that have been hidden from the public for a LONG time. If you look at the datasheets of a LOT of chips, they have leads that are labeled as UNUSED, but if you start poking around with a meter, they're CLEARLY connected to some sort of internal circuitry. Sometimes TOTALLY ISOLATED from the original functionality of the chip (like the V chips). WHO KNOWS what the manufacturers have been doing with this stuff. We will probably all have TVs that bug our houses in the future IF we don't allready!!! I wouldn't doubt if the chips in the home network type routers have backdoors buit into them allowing quick and easy access to the internal network. The fact that the military, and other government branches are thinking of this means they allready know, and probably have tested it ON US. BEWARE OF FREE ELECTRONIC DEVICES!!!! With all the major components of the hardware being made in other countries, WHO KNOWS what they could do. Makes you HOPE the people that make our gizmos don't have OHTER IDEAS!!!
