| 1.5 eh? Are you my twin living right beside me or something? My laptop (sony z1rap) has a 1.5 pentium m mobile centrino processor. Whats the weight of yoru laptop? (mines 4.1 lbs) As for your problem, a digital sig may work; but you could just forward a email to everyone saying that this is not a real email from you if you do not include there real name. |

| Fraoch, I used to get these from Law enforcement agencies etc... Stating that the email I sent contains a virus. What I found out was the virus program they use would notify the sender using the return address wither it be spoofed or not, Symantec product was famous for this. Nothing much you can do except ignore the notifications, I have notified the agencies at the time this was happening that I was not the sender; they did not understand the explanation regarding spoofed email address. More then likely as in my case and perhaps in your case Someone’s computer was compromised that contained your email address, not much you can do outside of changing email address, for me, this wasn’t a option -wayne

| Also, even if your email is reported to yahoo (and/or Your ISP) etc... more then likely now will match header information before progressing further with any action since most are aware of email spoofing. Also; http://emailuniverse.com/epub/2003/07/msg00019.html -wayne

| HA,,,u think some email sites such as yahoo and/or ur ISP can catch virus's or Trojans.....I used to use a trojan called MoSucker...was a nasty little trojan program that for about the 2-3 months that i played around with it Yahoo wouldn't pick it up. The first anti-virus that was ever able to catch it was McAfee AV. about a month afterwards then the Norton AV started catching it which is what yahoo uses as their email AV checker. I've since moved on and am back into the gaming scene and using mIRC. But it is a kewl thing to learn while messing with the stuff to find out who catches what first and stuff like that. As for now I have been using Kaspersky AV and it catches EVERYTHING...I've even had it catch spyware which was pretty kewl i thought.

| somehow I knew someone would come back with a sly remark, but all I can say is that I only did it to people I knew. This trojan was not a worm so it could not send itself on to someone else or anything like that. I couldn't find the words for it when I was typing my reply the first time but now I have,,I did it as an educational experience and only to learn how these programs actrually work so I know what more too look for in keeping a secure system.

| ya know,,I expected a little more maturity out of these forums and if you wanna ban me for saying that I used to use trojans to learn more about the security aspect then go ahead and ban me,,but to sit there and call people names and stuff just don't work for me...just shows a lot of immaturity there. ty and good day

| well to begin with there was no situation. I explained how I got the information that I had and posted the information here for anyone to read. I was mainly posting on the topic at hand and that's it. You ought to try using a trojan program maybe even on ur own system so u can learn more then you think you know, but ain't no way i'll be ur first victim. maybe someone else will though.....lol

| I beleive this forum does not support hacking of any sort. A simple google search would had found you many more answers then what you have just written; i'm sure many others have done what you did and have wrote about there experiences; so you culd just read theres and not have to release any danger into the enough dangered internet world we live in. You yourself make yourself look about two years old; the way that you type epically. Using so many shortcuts (only children do that or someone who just broke one of there hand or is typing with their feet). Many people i am sure think the above of what i have just said, possibly not but that is just my oppinion. My fellow mate of abx; I suggest you come back here when you are more mature, age in my personal opinion means nothing in this world. Intelligence and the way you represent yourself is what make's others have a positive attitude towards you. When you are mature enough; go drink a beer and be a man. Stop arguing with people here as these are friendly forums (this has been proven in the abx folding at home team ![]() |
