The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

Nice to know that I don't have to change the keys like I do with some of my other licensed software.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 and Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 unveiled

http://www.abxzone.com/forums/showth...13#post1315813

"The product is particularly effective against spyware programs, as it provides the option of rolling back any changes to the file system and the registry made by a malicious process. When a malicious object is deleted, all references to it are also deleted from the operating system.

Additionally, the scanning speed of the new software, and the time taken to download antivirus updates, is faster than its predecessor.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 is also intuitive to any drain on system resources. When the antivirus program performs operations that require substantial system resources, it monitors newly launched applications. If resource-intensive processes are launched by the user, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 suspends its operations, freeing up system resources."

I have been using version 6.0 for the past 2+ weeks and I can attest to the faster scanning speed and minimal use of system resources...I do not even notice a performance hit at all while it is running...for a product that delivers the features/protection that Kaspersky does that is quite the accomplishment

Dear Kaspersky Labs,

Well, I finally got the time to install your 30 day version of Anti-Virus version 6. I installed it and it failed to install the updates from all your servers, giving all sorts of error messages, like time outs, that it coundn't verify files, etc.

I finally gave up after waiting for 1 hour.

When it started it said that the 30 day period had expired.

Sorry, but i have absolutely no confidence in your product.

Very truly yours,
-wallijonn

Dear wallijohn,

sorry to hear of the troubles you have encountered with Kaspersky...Kaspersky 6.0 has a solid reputation as being a leader in the anti-virus market...version 6.0 is even better then version 5.0...less resource usage, very snappy, I barely even notice it is on

did you un-install your previous anti-virus completely before installing the Kaspersky trial?...did you make sure your firewall is configured to allow Kaspersky?...there are rare instances where the server goes down for awhile but it usually comes back in notime...next time you do a complete re-format of your system try Kaspersky again...maybe old remnants of your previous AV program was interfering with the new install

very truly yours,
- Igor, Nikolai and Vladimir
