| NAV is resources hungry and less efficient then ESET NOD32... i hav used both NAV 2004, 2005 and NOD32... presently m using NOD32 and I am very happy with it. NOD32 is best suited to knowledgeable users who demand speed. NOD32 also has a great compatibillity with xp sp2... NOD32’s record speaks for itself: 25 times achieving a 100% on the VB100% tests with a heuristic engine so advanced it’s able to block worms like MyDoom without requiring an update. The program is very small, uses very little system resources, and will scan your system volumes over twice the speed of NAV. Its updates are comparatively small but more importantly NOD checks for updates on the hour every hour to keep you up to date. Given the low cost to purchase and renew this product it’s a must have for everyone. Available on many platforms, including DOS, Linux, and NetWare, NOD32 offers blazing speed and rock-solid virus protection that make it best for experts but not an ideal choice for beginners. so heres a altogether great virus solution ESET NOD32... Wat are UR opnions???

| I WAS using nav and was really quite happy with it untill I installed sp2 and it kept saying my anti virus was out of date.... I'm thinking what? it's still downloading and installing updates... it must be something with SP2... so I dug out the box with the reciept and sure enough it was expired (by a fair bit ....ooooops) Thanks for the warning Symantec.... Oh and thanks for appearing to install updates that it wasn't actually installing..... I put AVG on my system and it imediately picked up a nasty in my temp folder that Nav had missed....... Looks like I'm an AVG convert (and you sure can't beat the price)

| I'm using NAV....but it expires in a couple weeks. The Norton firewall just expired on me. I currently suspect that Norton may be responsible for some of my system lock-ups. So I've got to get a new firewall and a new av program. NOD32 sounds good...but how much does it cost? I usually buy the previous years version of NAV (its cheaper and they provide updates for free). I have a feeling I'm gonna end up with avg and zonealarm though since they're both free. I just hope zonealarm doesn't give me the trouble it used to.
