Observations about Security forum

I've noticed the security forum does not get a lot of attention.

... Any ideas why? Is there some way we could put more attention on it? It's the first place I go when I log in because I enjoy security in general, simply put, but I rarely see any new posts here. Is there some way we could encourage other members to "drop by," ask questions if they have any, help with malware problems, anything of that nature? Helping someone resolve a problem always puts a smile on my face; it never gets old.

Hopefully this post wasn't too lame. I'd just like to see some more action here in the security forum--users helping users.

Hopefully I'll get some other opinions/replies

Ray

If your behind a firewall, run av and antispy with a host file.....You shouldn't have problems.....

My guess here is most of the people on these forums do just that.... Maybe have the odd problem on a friends or customers' computer.

Re: Observations about Security forum

I don't have too many issues with security, if any at all but I will keep an
eye out and do what I can to contribute.

ps
There is just an overwhelming amount of very usefull information just a google
away.

Re: Observations about Security forum

3 of 7 is right, I don't think I've ever posted a security problem that wasn't on someone else's computer I was trying to fix. Most of the user's here are too computer savy to have that happen.

Not lame at all, Its good to hear peoples opinions about things. Security is an interesting subject except the thing is we cant really get people to post there on their own.

Re: Observations about Security forum

This forum seems to focus entirely on consumer level client security, so it's often pretty dry. (at least imo.)
