Sounds like you know what you are talking about! Mozilla all the way. You might want to get a more recent Anti-Virus to make sure you are getting the updates. Their is a fre version of AVG that is really good.

I used to be plagued by popups too. Once I switched to FireFox I rarely got them any more.
I agree on AVG Free. I use that as well and it works great

i think i found something, every time i do CTRL+ALT+DELETE it shows a program called A31480

i just did a google search on that A31480 and people say it is a nasty MALWARE

Then maybe you should run a spyware utility. Try Ad-aware, it's free. Also AVG has free spyware program.

When you say it won't run, are you getting an error? Did FF fail to install? Maybe we need a little more info...Thanks

i scanned with the AVG anti-spyware program and one of the threats was trojan.small anyway i quarentined all of the threats and we'll see how everything turns out thank u everyone for helping me

i found a trojan it is in C:\windows\fonts\

i can only see it on a scanner and when looked for it myself all i can find are the fonts for typing but on the scanner it shows a lot more items in that file that are irrelivant to fonts
