Yeah, spam is a profit-maker. Otherwise it wouldn't be there. I doubt it will stop until someone fixes mail (or everything runs through 3rd party systems like Facebook/IM/whatever). Not a pretty pecture, perhaps I should coin the phrase "Bleakonomics".
