Re: ALchemy for Audigy

This is to little too late. I bailed out of Creative Labs a long time ago, and Creative Labs won't even produce a decent set of drivers for Vista, along with control applets, like the Creative Equalizer for example.

They caught so much grief over the last 6 weeks on this and other issues, their backtracking and making some of this stuff freely available.

I do say however, that those that bought Alchemy for the Audigy on Vista, to go for it, and get their money back.

I started using the Auzentech Prelude sound card which uses the same X-Fi chip and modded drivers but with more frequent driver updates and better overall sound quality

Re: ALchemy for Audigy

I've been using the HT Omega Claro since March of last year. It's got more frequent drivers, and produces better sound than the Audigy 2 series of cards. I espicially like the Dolby Pro Logic IIx decoding my card can do.

With my card new drivers come out, I've seen from every 3 to 4 months, and it doesn't have a lot of the junk software that Creative cards come with either.
