* Bose Companion 5 *

Man these Bose USB speakers are better then sliced bread. And the best part is, NO SOUND card needed. In Crysis the sound is just great. You can now kiss my grits Creative, don't need no stinking sound card.......... Don't need no sound on my mobo either... No stinking drivers required......... Music sounds good so far, haven't played movies with them yet. Amazing what two speakers & a subwoofer can do. Here's a link if ya want a look-see... Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Powered Speakers - Computer Speaker Systems

Yeah I saw these @ Microcenter yesterday. I was quite leery about buying em. But the sales clerk said give em a try, 30 days return if unhappy. So far you'd hav to whack me in the head with a subwoofer to get em back.......

Re: * Bose Companion 5 *

I was leery of these because not even sound is required on the mobo. Never dawn on me 'bout the USB connection.

Was not quite sure if it would work as advertised. I will definitely put these on the upgarde list!

Thanks for the info!

Re: * Bose Companion 5 *

Here's another set of USB speakers that looks good.

When I'm ready to get a new set of speakers, I'll consider the Bose or the Logitech's.
