Question

I recently installed the SB Live into a CUSL2 and the Liveware 3.0 drivers, after installing the Live software and rebooting, that reboot is the last your pc ever makes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had same problem. Got rid of it by disabling the sb emulation in system device panel. just deactive it, it will do the job.

You may have to boot to SAFE MODE to do the SB16 Emulation disable. DONOT remove it just disable it.

Thanks for the information on the SB16. I had the same problem with my SB Live 5.1 It was driving me crazy. I had just installed Windows ME and the computer wouldn't reboot. It's rebooting now. I didn't have to disable the SB16 emulation, I just enabled the LPT interrupt sharing in the advanced settings and everything works.

And even another solution is to reserve IRQ5 in the PCI/PNP IRQ Resource Exclusion menu, under PCI Configuration in the advanced BIOS section. Works for me!

Hemicuda

Great name - brings back fond memories of my buddies 'cuda with a 440 6-pack. It could pull the front wheels off the ground!!

Oh yeah - enabling the LPT sharing is the only thing I had to do...
