I want to get an LCD monitor for my XBOX 360

I cannot afford an HDTV right now. So I've considered an LCD monitor instead for good gaming. What do you all think ......lets say 22". IS there going to be a visual difference...

and what would you recommend

Widescreen LCD monitors in the 20"-22" range have a native resolution of 1680x1050, where as 24" widescreen monitors have a native resolution of 1920x1200 (16:10) which is perfect for displaying HD at 1920x1080 (16:9). If you can, go for the 24" monitors.

I have a HD pc tuner card and catch OTA SD and HD channels. Most HD channels are 720P (1280x720) but I have a few that are 1920x1080i.

Considering that the XBox only outpuits native 720p or 1080i you won't get more clarity out of a 24" with higher resolution. A 1080p LCD will deinterlace the 1080i signal as much as anything larger. Of course, with a bigger screen you get more, well, screen...

SupDawg, what do you know that makes you say LCDs are going to go up in price? -thanks

There is a current world wide shortage in LCD panels. Once the retail channels are depleted, the will be a tightened supply thus resulting in a higher price.
