Need Program to Download Thumbnails

I am looking for a program to download pics from a web page..(not pron)...the pics are thumbnails...I can do it by right clicking each one but I would rather be able to download all thumbnails on that page at one time and the downloaded pics be at regular size...I have tried flashget and when it downloads them they are all php extentions...the only way I can get flashget to download as jpg extention is if they are already REGULAR size on the web page....thanks for listening and hope you can help

And renaming the files with a .php extension to jpg (or whichever the format the thumbnails are in) doesn't work?

Sometimes applications are a bit daft and don't rename the file based on what type the data is, it just uses the canonical name in the URL. So if it's a script generating a thumbnail it may use the script's name and extension for file names, but the actual data is still the thumbnail image.

thank you kongo for such a quick response....I have tried renaming the phps to jpg but then Nero photoshop viewer says it does not recognize it..when I do a mouse over any of the thumbnails it says they are jpgs on the web page...hope this helps

Hm, that sucks.

Are you using Firefox or IE? (Or Opera for that matter.)

Because for Firefox there's this: DownThemAll! That may work.

you are right ..it really does suck...never an easy problem..lol..I am using IE7 and have thought about installing firefox as a backup browser but didnt want to fight the compatibility issues.....only ever used IE at the job and personal...what do you think...thanks again

I run Linux and use Firefox, so I can't really say about any similar tools for IE.

Firefox uninstalls easy, so you can just try to install it, install DownThemAll and see if that does the trick. If not, well, I guess you'll just have to right-click the day away.

Though it's probably pretty easy to knock together something in Python, I don't know if you code. (I guess if you did you'd have tried that already.)

I installed firefox and a couple of the extentions......no change...I guess you are right..I will just have to right click myself to death.....no biggee tho...it is not all the time just when one of the guys wants to upload his pictures of a good woodworking plan that I want to download each step for later reference..thanks for your time
