Re: New X-Fi Vista Driver (dated Nov 5th)

Thanks for the heads up I will have to try these once I get home. Probably wont be for a few days though. It would be nice if it resolved my sound issues with Bioshock and the Crysis demo. I am not overly hopeful however..

Question Re: New X-Fi Vista Driver (dated Nov 5th)

Sorry this is an old post, but I need a driver update like this one but which works with the Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio.

The problem is that I don't have a mode changing ability in the software provided for the Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio. This prohibits me from recording sound while playing age of conan and making videos, or making sound bytes for pithy 2D games that I make.

It's a real pain in the butt. I built the computer myself (first time), and ordered a combo deal from Newegg.com which included this soundcard. The soundcard seems like a lemon though if it can't even record sound in Vista.

Does anyone know of a hack/work-around/plugin that might help?

I'm a new member of this forum, so I'm going to indulge in one of these pointless emoticons to my right.... Yes. Snoopy. That will do fine, just fine.

Welcome to the forum-----this one is for Vista 64 bit----it installs the console which allows you to change settings and I think allows the mode changes (Gaming, music etc....)
