| OK, all you HDTV dudes: I've joined the crowd too, with a 42"..... complete with two remotes and some 60 buttons, and all sorts of menus that i can't figure out. But.....the problem is still the same thing -- what the heck is worth watching on TV anyway? So: what are you guys watching on TV these days. ![]() me: the history channel (like ice road truckers), the discovery channel, TLC, HGTV, Bravo, the discovery channel, the weather channel....

| Re: OK, all you HDTV dudes: I have an older Panny 50" RPTV and a 65" Mitsubishi DLP. I have Dish network, and I we have about 30 or so HD channels including the OTA local channels in HD as well. Lots of HD programming. Almost all of USA is in HD, TBS, History, Discovery, all the big networks. I almost watch HD exclusively. I really hate watching SD programming these days.

| Re: OK, all you HDTV dudes: I sure like my 7.1 sound, my new Yamahaw receiver will let me use all 7 speakers in stereo. It sounds great even off axis, but in the sweet spot. It is angels in song and music..... |

| What do you do to timeshift programs? Let's say you leave for a week and want to record two or three movies and a couple of sporting events complete with the CC (closed captioning). Then when you return, you decide to keep the sporting events and one of the movies "forever". What do you do? On VHS tape one could do all that. On recordable DVD players with tuners, one could do all that. In addition to all that, I could take the media with me to watch wherever I decide to go such as at a friend's house or boat or camper. How is it done with HDTV? |

| Re: OK, all you HDTV dudes: The Speaker setup is used for my PS3 and not for my TV. I use optical cable from my logitech control center to the PS3 optical input.
