Which speaker system to get?

I currently have a set of Logitech Z-680s, but that hissing noise is getting to me. These speakers will be 4 years old this December, so I'm looking for a good replacement set that won't have any hissing, crackling, or popping at all. The Z-5500s seem to have good reviews, but what do you guys think? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
