| Re: Yet more X-FI and Vista problems I got told off by a Creative forum mod for slagging off the useless company with none too pleasant words :P I told him I am more than entitled to being annoyed that much due to the non-existent customer support and even worse coding of drivers. Think i'll just save for that new Asus one that came out not too long ago. Shame though, as the sound was actually very good on the X-FI especially on Battlefield 2142, but that doesn't excuse anything.

| Re: Yet more X-FI and Vista problems It's good, ASUS gets the reference drivers from CMEDIA, and then writes their own control panel applets for them. From the reviews I've seen, it's good. If you want another soundcard that is good, but costs less money, get yourself an HT OMEGA CLARO, the more you use it, the better it sounds. All 8788HD cards, including HT OMEGA CLARO Plus are like this. |

| Re: Yet more X-FI and Vista problems Sounds cool. There is always some sort of sound going on on my PC. If it's not music or audiobooks (I work too much to read so I listen while i'm working :P) it's the sound of explosions and other things that go bang on games Will try it once I get my next lot of student loan through
