Re: * Xonar Essence STX...WOW *

Yeah FVB, I love that card. The Surpreme HiFi front panel box I got with my mobo is the best piece of audio equipment I have seen. It is a USB DAC with and ESS chip, the best, and it has Essence class headphone circuitry. It has a very nice feeling front panel volume knob and large 1/4" gold headphone jacks but, with running a front panel audio cable to the Essence STX audio card, I enjoy the headphone out of it a little better and in keeping my Essence STX audio card for speakers and headphones, I get the keyboard control for switching and volume.

With the new card I can't tell that much of a difference but I feel better about having the original instead of changing out some of the components on the STX II to make it like the original. Also, I mentioned I have my Windows volume at 75% now so my speakers are running great off the N22. I am getting a plug to put in my case front panel mic port so I don't get confused with the headphone jack any longer. So, I am set with audio once more.
