Re: FAH GPU client now Available for nVidia!

Looks like Stanford has released some 511 point proteins for the Nvidia GPU client. These proteins lowered my PPD and raised the GPU temperature big time. I wished that Stanford provided more points for these proteins.

Unhappy Aww Snap!

One of my GPUs (GPU1) won't fold anymore. I keep getting NAN error. I've checked my system memory and its fine. I'm not overclocking it (ATM). And I'm using the 6.23 client and 1.19 core. I'm may try upgrading to the latest WHQL 180.xx drivers and see if that changes anything.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

TY!

I had this problem on one of my PCs. I just closed down the GPU client and restarted it. This resolved the problem.

If it does not resolve your problem, try restarting your system, and then restart the GPU clients.

Re: FAH GPU client now Available for nVidia!

I've tried restarting the core (doesn't work because they lock you out for 24 hours). I've restarted my system within that 24 hour time frame and then started back up when it was time. And I upgraded to the 180.48 drivers and I STILL have the same problem. Guess I better post something on the Stanford folding forums..

I would try uninstalling the client, reboot and re install it.

This has happened on 2 of my systems already today. One of the systems, I had to shutdown FAH GPU client and restart it twice before the NAN errors went away. The other system I just had to shutdown the FAH GPU client and restart it just once to get it going again. Not sure if Stanford is releasing a lot of bad work units or if the current version of the GPU client has bugs that cause it not to work after getting one bad work unit. Hopefully they will release a new version to resolve these issues.

Re: FAH GPU client now Available for nVidia!

Thanks VSEKH! Maybe if I have time I'll write a little proggie that restarts the the client after every error, then again, maybe I'll just run one GPU (which is find for whatever reason) and wait till Stanford get's it together.

Re: FAH GPU client now Available for nVidia!

Well, everything has been running fine lately. Don't know what the problem is, but it must have been at Stanford's end because it's gone without me changing anything else.

Re: FAH GPU client now Available for nVidia!

I have had the issue with unstable machine several times now different PCs. This has lowered my points the last few days. Also, the 511 point proteins have showed up again, which has also lowered my points per day.

Re: FAH GPU client now Available for nVidia!

I sold one of my Core2 duo machines last week so my point production is way down this week.

Been having the same problem (again!). I'm going to try and see what happens tonight.
