Re: Did Microsoft Cripple Bluetooth in Windows 7?

Oh boy.....

I just KNEW they were going to do SOMETHING stupid.......

They have a total winner coming out that will make a FORTUNE for them....

Why this???

I just shake my head in wonder sometimes.....

Is it greed??

Is it stupidity?

Is that MS swagger back?? "You WILL use our products because we say so...."

or a combo thereof....

No, they can't do that. Imagine all the Notebook's with installed Bluetooth. And what about my Bluetooth based Canon PIXMA iP90v portable printer. I can't use it anymore with my ThinkPad W500?

I just can't believe this.

Re: Did Microsoft Cripple Bluetooth in Windows 7?

Win 7 supports some bluetooth. I am able to transfer stuff to and from cell phones.

However, multimedia stuff is what appears to be crippled.

Re: Did Microsoft Cripple Bluetooth in Windows 7?

So, if this impacts media streaming only, then I can buy that MS bluetooth mouse I'm looking at for my netbook (running Win7) and it will it work, correct?

Re: Did Microsoft Cripple Bluetooth in Windows 7?

LOL...just something funny about that Peter...

I have been using both a Bluethooth mouse and keyboard with my Asus netbook for some time.
All the way through the different W7 flavors and only a couple hiccups while using the OS.

I'm sure not very fond of the control issues over at MS though...I wish they'd lighten up already.
What are they gaining with this behavior? We just go somewhere else to get what we need.
