Virtual XP Mode

I recently did a reinstall of Windows 7 RC and decided to play around with the XP Mode feature for the first time...things went very smooth and it seems to work perfectly (even though the Virtual XP software is still technically in beta)...was able to run programs through XP with no issues...no performance hit either as I was able to work in Windows 7 at the same time (browsing the net, burning DVD's etc)

havn't tested it out with anything too graphically or CPU intensive yet but I'm interested to see how that works out

overall I'm very impressed with this feature and wish Microsoft would have included it in the lower end versions of Windows 7 and not just the Ultimate and Pro ones

An overt attempt to get corporate America (which resisted Vista) on-board quickly. Once W7 gets to SP1, I'll consider it for production machines.

Re: Virtual XP Mode

I am not waiting for SP1 as I have been running 7 since Jan (first Beta now RC1) and I see absolutly nothing that needs fixing so far. I am sure that there will be issues and improvements but I have been using it for everything and anything with no issues at all.
