Re: Ie9

I like IE9 also. The search bar and the address bar the same now. Just click the little mag glass on the right side of the address bar. This browser is a little quicker to.

Re: Ie9

I am getting a huge amount of crashing with ie9 64 bit...

i get the messqage that IE9 has stopped working-----I close that message and it reloads the same page.....

I suspect I have a Plug-in somewhere that is conflicting......

but didn't I read somewhere that it is best to use the 32 Bit version of IE as most plug-ins are built for it and NOT 64 Bit....

If so----how do you run the new IE9 in 32 Bit on a 64 Bit machine???

Re: Ie9

Doesn't the generic IE shortcut open the 32bit version?

I downloaded the 64 bit and I haven't had any problems, but I don't have any plugins except Xmarks?

Re: Ie9

So far---so good....

I just went through and disabled a whole bunch of plugins.....

Seems to be running MUCH more stable now

Shocking to see what add-ons were actually being run!

I had NO idea!

I never had paid attention to this before...

I WILL in the future!

Re: Ie9

Make sure you download the correct version for your OS (XP misses out)
If you do run a 64 bit 7 or Vista then after you install ie9 etc do this... Start / All Programs and look at the proggy list and you will see icons for Internet Explorer (64-bit) and... Internet Explorer.
Yep 2 versions!
The default browser is 32 bit which is 100% compatible with a bajillion websites (as PeterT said)
The 64 bit version is neat but will fail to load many sites due to it being from the future

PS: Hi fv /wave
