Re: Windows 7 driver support hows it been for you?

Yesterday I downloaded Firefox 3.6 Beta 5, and it works with W-7,64. Thanks for your suggestion.

Re: Windows 7 driver support hows it been for you?

You know.. I don't like the fact if you dare to install Nvidia drivers once and for some reason you wanna uninstall them and use other (older or whatever) drivers.. windows updates says no sir you can't do that I will install drivers myself..

Re: Windows 7 driver support hows it been for you?

You have to go into the device manager and delete the device (which gives you the option of deleting the driver as well). It's also a good idea to boot into safe mode after installing the new card and run a driver cleaning program, then you reboot let Win7 do it's thing, then install the latest drivers. There is a way to disable automatic device driver installs, but I cannot remember how.

No what I mean is once you installed drivers... and you do delete them Windows update automatically reinstalls them.. even in safe mode..

Re: Windows 7 driver support hows it been for you?

Well silly that... that last post made me go look and check so think that issue's gone
Btw, 7 update is nice but in most cases it's prolly still better to get manufactuer's updates instead

Re: Windows 7 driver support hows it been for you?

Take windows update off or auto, set it to ask before installing, and any updates including DRIVERS right click on that and tell it to hide it!

Re: Windows 7 driver support hows it been for you?

no problems whatsoever with win7 x64 including Firefox 4 RC. rock solid and recovers almost instantly from any hiccup.
ms got it right. finally. (by the way, typing this on my Samsung plasma with an AZIO wireless mini keyboard that dongled (if that's not a word yet it should be) right in on the first try...
