Re: Evga gtx 570 sc
Im glad Asus finally dropped the Win 95/200 look.. they upgraded to GPU Tweak, which kinda looks like afterburner with a twist
And rather buggy well not too much but still.. Im hoping they'll work it out

Re: Evga gtx 570 sc
Got the notion to repaste my GTX 570 GPU again. This will be the second time. Took it apart and the paste (Shin Etsu) was hard and caked on thick. I cleaned it off and put some Arctic Cooling MX-4 on there like I did my new EK water block. I am fixing to run Unigine Heaven Benchmark a couple of times to help settle the paste.

Re: Evga gtx 570 sc
Ran EVGA OC Scanner which contains Furmark essentially for about 30min and hit a high of 70C with 75% fan speed. At idle my temps haven't changed much from before the repaste. I am still running around 40C at idle with a 40% fan speed. I do feel good about changing the paste over to MX-4 which is not as pasty as the Shin Etsu and I put the correct amount on this time.

Re: Evga gtx 570 sc
No prob. XJ, I have OC Scanner as well which is an OC test utility. Runs Furmark and I got to 78C with 850core clock after 15min. but no artifacts
Nice to know what the old card can do. The EVGA SC 570 still goes for $345 minimum not includind shipping and tax. Not a bad investment at all.

Re: Evga gtx 570 sc
Good deal! I like the reference design cooler better, it blows air through a copper finned vapor chamber.
Here's mine which is what I paid for it over a year ago. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130595

Re: Evga gtx 570 sc
There is a new BIOS file for the EVGA GTX 570 SC and other EVGA cards. This BIOS boosted my idle fan speed back up to 40% min. I don't think it changed voltages (idle) but max might be higher. There are also other possible fixes in the new BIOS. Be wary flashing any video card.
