Re: *** Dell 27" Ultrasharp U2711 ***

I just picked up a HP 2711x for $350. What an amazing picture! I didn't think there would be a noticeable difference in gaming, but those few pixel targets in a FPS are actually people when rendered on a bigger screen at higher res.

Re: *** Dell 27" Ultrasharp U2711 ***

Well Im watching the U2711 pricing
On a sidenote.. if I would go higher than 24 inch, personally I would have to think hard if the screen wouldn't do more than 1920 resolutions.. the size of screens like that have kinda big pixels at those resolutions Unfortunately also that means most screens are out since I haven't seen many go higher

Yep its weird but talk to anybody that has a 27 inch LCD and they all say they love it. Even the non-ISP ones. Most have a 16:9 aspect ratio so they they do 1920x1080. I never used 1920x1200 on my 24" desktop, it had good clarity at that resolution but the screen was too small and icon width/height didn't appear right. A 27" screen might be perfect for 1920x1080, not sure.

Re: *** Dell 27" Ultrasharp U2711 ***

Update on me Dell 27" Ultrasharp U2711.
I've had no problems, the best monitor I've ever owned.
Games/graphic look just unreal as compared to a lesser
set. Lots of desktop real estate. I just can't say enough good
about this monitor...
