New, Windows 8 Forum

We now have a Windows 8 forum, for all things Win 8 related.
I've a feeling we may need a "Metro" sub-forum as well a bit later on...

The mods may start moving existing Win 8 threads to here as they see fit.

Oh yeah, I meant the new Windows 8 start screen, the tablet GUI.
Could be a few posts just about it.

I like microsoft products, but i have to agree with you. I get w8 for free as a student, and i really need convincing to install it. Maybe is the users on this tread really really like it, i might install it. Still, i need a sincere peer review before i install that thing.

Re: New, Windows 8 Forum

Installed it once....hated it and after 3 days....quit....went back to 7.

Then i got to thinking I did not give it a fair shake.....and I should try again....so i installed it a second time.

Worked with it for TWO WEEKS....Tried to like it....really, REALLY tried to like it.

Wound up hacking and Adding Add On's and trying to "Fix" it so I could actually get some work done.....

Failed.....

Went back to 7

I was just plain lost with it.....it throws away 17 years of "Windows" experience....puts a tablet like clunky interface on a non touch screen PC.

It might be OK on a touch screen but I will probably never know....

Why should I relearn a brand new PC operating suystem that doesn't work as well as the old one did?

It's going to be a bomb of monumental proportions.....

A total boon to Apple sales LOL
