Re: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Launch Trailer

I might have to check this one out. I have played some of the the previous serious sams. The shear number of foes is a little overwhelming at times. It's doesn't look like they moved away from that lol. The graphics look pretty good in this one though.

Yes you do get overwhelmed with the bad guys, a lot of running backwards shooting at everything that moves! lol

Re: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Launch Trailer

I didn't like SS2. It was junk IMO. The original SS and the Second Encounter were brilliant fun. I still use that high speed back-pedal technique to this day, thanks to SS!
I hope this version can bring back the fun of those.

Re: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Launch Trailer

Speaking of SS, Borderlands reminds me of the first SS in that it is very funny. This one up above looks more serious and fearful to me.

Re: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Launch Trailer

Hmm, it looks to be Serious Sam wuth updated graphics and gore.
SS was so much fun because of the HUGE levels with a sandbox feel and well stocked arsenal of powerful weapons and ammo The corny enemies added a lot of character to the game play. The graphics and sound were excellent. I loved the sharp textures.
Back in the day that was enough, but i dk about today. Sure it'll be run and gun fun, no doubt, but will it feel fresh? and will it have that mystery that brilliant new games often have? Looking at the trailer again, and it all looks so familiar to me.

Re: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Launch Trailer

Usually when battling big bosses there is a location you can hide where you can still get at him but he can't fully get to you or there is an obstacle you can skirt around.

This boss levels everything and your wide open, run and gun with a high jump and shoot is what I'm trying, almost got him a couple of times...LOL

Re: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Launch Trailer

Im at the spiderlevel.. well I also have the Jewel of the Nile dlc (this sale was real good so I bought a bunch of stuff, I also got UT3, both L4D's (Left 4 Dead) and a whole pile of dlc for Warhammer space marine) which seems a bit tougher, it throws a scrapperjack at you rigjht at the begin
Zap, SS3 is still run and gun fun but the look is updated to a very realistic shooter style and the areas don't feel exactly huge anymore
