Apples antitrust case

I notice reports that Apples official position is they will fight the false "accusations". If thats true then its despite a ruling that they broke the law.

I dont understand that. Its fine that we have avenues of appeal in our justice system, but as it stands the court has made a finding.
I'd prefer them to take some responsibility about it rather than use weasel words.

I read that Apple has 145 billion in cash so the fine wont hurt them much.
Thats a lot of cash! Wow. Whenever i read about such massive cash reserves in big corporates it makes me think that we're paying way too much for their products and services. I wonder if we need a cap on such profits to reduce the rusk of monopolies or undue influence in the market place?
Maybe a law to break them up into smaller seperate companies?
