Thinking about a Blu-Ray burner

Hi all,

I'm considering buying a Blu-Ray burner to put in my new build (i7/Sabertooth/GTX980). I've been looking at the Pioneer BDR-2209 and the LG WH16NS40. So, what are your experiences with these, or should I look at other drives? For what it's worth, I considered and discarded the Asus burners, due to high reported failure rates.

TIA for your input!

I have a LG Blu-Ray BH10LS30 in my box. I guess it to be about 4 years old now and still works like a dream. Not the fastest burner out there but I do not remember burning a coaster with it. I use Verbatim BD-R 25 GB 4x disks.

My bluray burner came built into my MSI laptop. Don't know the brand offhand. I've never burned with it yet because I continue to use my years old trusty LiteOn. Sorry I can't be of much help.

I would check the MaximumPC Magazine website for reviews.
