Anyone get the Ransom Crypto virus?

Did anyone get the Ransom Crypto virus?

I got hit with it. 4096 encryption.

That won't help this, there are school distracts paying this ransom...this is a really bad one, hope everyone has a goods back up....only solution is a complete reinstall!

You get a pop up screen with directions to pay the ransom with a count down timer....its been in the news, not good! This is one of many...

It is a bad one

Lost game save files and game screenshots mostly. Everything else is mostly retrievable from backups and other sources. A lot of time though reinstalling windows 7 and tweaking it. Plus I have to use updated apps when the older app worked better. Adobe comes to mind here.
