Re: Getting Ready for Google Wifi Mesh System!

Got the Erro's up and running, easy setup, I have both hooked up to Cat 6 so get the same speeds without any drop off anywhere in the house! One SSID now instead of three, had to reboot the modem and unplug a couple of switches but that is it, I have 21 devices on my network. My old D-link 2.4 ghz router gave me anywhere from 24 to 45 down and 6 up (this is a very old router at least 8 years) know my 2.4 ghz wireless network I get 50 to 80 down and 6 up...now that's a good upgrade, I get 120 down and 6 up from Comcast and now on the 5 ghz wireless network I get 118 to 120 down and 6 up everywhere in my house can't ask for anymore than that! I got back my $45 from B&H so my end price was $289 for both delivered and no tax....best upgrade in awhile.

Re: Getting Ready for Google Wifi Mesh System!

Great news FV. One thing I learned as well - the more SSID's, the more interference! Enjoy your setup.

Re: Getting Ready for Google Wifi Mesh System!

Thanks Jin really good system, I don't think you would get full speed on the second Erro if it is connected by wifi...from some of the reviews I've seen it drops the further away you get from wired Erro....the best for un wired is the Netgear Orbi is the best...full speed from either one!

Re: Getting Ready for Google Wifi Mesh System!

These are available to buy at Best Buy now - hopefully, the brother can grab a 3-pack while he's still in the US. How's it been for you Ken?

Re: Getting Ready for Google Wifi Mesh System!

FVB do you need the Full driver set installed for the HP8600 to print from IPAD wirelessly? I have the basic drivers installed and the wife could not print last night.

Cool! I thought maybe I would have to have the extra WiFi features or something that the basic doesn't have. We have not printed to the iPad in a year and I now have the basic Printer drivers loaded. She was trying to print a Groupon and it wouldn't but I believe that is because there was not a print menu for it. She is connected to the router no problem (WiFi) and so it the printer (Ethernet).

I do remember that in order to get that Win10 Start menu app to fully work for HP Print (from MS Store) you needed the full drivers. Also, I think I remember for utilizing the second paper tray you also needed the full driver package.
