Re: Asus ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

New ASUS Aura software for the mobo.

Capture.JPG

I had a hard time installing it on the first try. Had to uninstall Aura for my video card then disable ASUSFan process. Installed it just a while ago, it is the only Aura software running and I got it to do what I want it to. That is run both my mobo and video card in perfect sync which it is doing and then to turn all the LED's off when my computer shuts down which it is also doing. I have restarted several times and it appears to be holding.

Re: Asus ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

Skully here is a link to ROG RVE10 wallpaper.

Well my system is doing very well. I don't have as much confidence yet in this system as I've had with past systems but time will tell. Right now I have the CPU/RAM in a very good place. 4.3GHZ + HT on all cores is a very sweet spot for this processor. It runs it like it was default and never goes above 1.268Vcore. I am only using 150W sitting on the desktop which I think is very efficient and acceptable for such a heavyweight champion. The RAM is giving me no problems whatsoever with the new CPU and running on XMP 2400-CL12-1.2Vddr and I have even been running 1T for weeks. BIOS settings are all a lock, I am off fast-boot and am not using any mobo fan control at all. My H115i pump in plugged into constant SATA power 12V. My case fan cooling is excellent because of the video card fan control. I hit at least 1987Mhz core, 11088MHz memory, and a max of 53C everytime Aura is now working on my system like I want it. Both the video card and complete mobo LED's are in breathing mode with candy apple red and when shutdown the only LED's I see are the two white power LED's on the video card.

Everything else is good too. I have the latest firmware on my 4yr old wireless router, printer is on Ethernet and working better than ever. Audio is outstanding and easy to use HP or speakers, mouse and keyboard are Ducky so yeah-yuh. I pasted Backup & Restore to my Start menu after I cleaned up my drive and created a Windows Image file on my 1TB 850 Pro SSD. The image is suppose to be append-able.

I am going to sit back and enjoy this beast.

Re: Asus ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

Yeah I flashed it to after I posted. I was not having any difficulty with the last BIOS and the notes below do not apply to me either. But I have noticed other changes to the menus in BIOS before that were not mentioned. If they come out with a new BIOS it is for a good reason to risk customers flashing their chips. If the new BIOS causes problems I can always go back. This board is a little over a year old now and support will be downhill from here. Hopefully ASUS will have this board in a good shape when the BIOS updates stop.

I hope so too, on the bios, it will be hard for me to let go of the RVE 10...

Re: Asus ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

There is no reason to let go of the RVE10. There is nothing wrong with the latest X299 boards and I recommend getting one if you are moving to HEDT but the RVE10 has all the good stuff. Reinforced PCI slots, excellent SupremeFX onboard audio and ESS DAQ and TI headphone amp in front bay audio. Great LED's with Aura lighting, switches in the right places, built-in back I/O panel, heavy and huge back plate, excellent OCing and dual BIOS chips, and what I like most of all it was designed originally to support Haswell-E, what I consider the best socket 2011 CPU for OCing and cooling.

Here's a pic I took yesterday. Got the underside of my card. I am looking at getting a support bracket for my card.

Re: Asus ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

New Kasperski AV software.

Kapersky Antivirus KAV2016(V16.0.1.445) for Windows

The USGov is fixing to close out this software. I am sure Putin has his goons forcing this companies hand at espionage. Funny how ASUS (Chinese) give us this software for free. Especially long after I have owned my mobo. I am all for giving the Russians and Chinese a fair shake in business, I mean MS does the same thing to us which is collect information.

Re: Asus ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10

I am just posting new releases for the RVE10. It is up to 70 downloads now. I DL everything for my mobo and keep in on my drive but I don't use much of it. There are a lot of utilities for this board.

GameFirst
Dual Intelligent Processors 5
Home Cloud
HiStream
ROG Connect
TurboV
Keybot
MemTweak
Overwolf
RAMCache
RAMDisk
Kaspersky
AISuite
PCDiagnostics

...I have tried most but don't use any of the above. ASUS tries but is not very good at software. I am glad GPUTweak is able to keep core and memory clocks and a simple fan profile lol.
