Having researched this quite thoroughly years ago, I boiled it down to either Eset (Nod32) or Kaspersky. Both are very good and quality products. I went with Nod32 and have used it for years now.

EXACTLY my case, word for word!

After looking NOD32 record in VB100, it's a no-brainer decision to adopt it.

Plus it doesn't pound on system resources like Norton & other crapware.

I agree with Eset (Nod32). Unlike Norton, it doesn't slow down my system due to hidden processes in the background.
