Serious sound in a small, beautiful package

Well guys I ordered a set of speakers and have never felt so much anticipation. When I ordered my first set of Audioengine P4's I did not know what to expect and was thoroughly enjoyed with them until today. Now I have bought speakers that are probably 2X better sounding and looking. I bought the Audioengine HDP6's in Cherrywood off Ebay for $425 delivered. I am working hard with an amazing engineer and friend of mine to make a custom adapter plate so I can hang them off of wall mounts.

Re: Serious sound in a small, beautiful package

Congrats on the new in coming Audioengine HDP6 speakers.
My Audioengine speakers still work well. I have a great sound
system at the other end of room. I don't use my PC speakers
much for music, mostly PC and gaming...

Re: Serious sound in a small, beautiful package

Thanks Skully,

This is all the audio I have. It is where I hang out all the time anyway. I want more sound than from my small 4" woofer P4's. I won't be using the grills either after I get them mounted.

Re: Serious sound in a small, beautiful package

Speakers shipped yesterday.

These speakers are for stand mount. They have single 1/4x20 bolt holt in the center bottom. We came up with a 3/8" Acetal adapter plate from Tapplastics that will attach to the bottom of the speaker. We will install several press-fit nuts to allow the speaker and attached plate to mount to the wall mount plate. With wall mount side arms attached to the speaker with double-sided tape, I will be able to tilt the speakers as well.

Re: Serious sound in a small, beautiful package

I have a design ready for making an adapter plate to mount the speakers on wall mounts and be able to tilt them. These speakers has a single 1/4-20 bolt on the center/bottom to keep them from toppling over on stands, not sufficient enough to lean them.

I am getting a custom Tappplastics Acetal plate made along with press-fit nuts to mount to the speaker bottom and attach to the wall-mount plate.

My only issues are mounting the corner speaker properly and that my N22 amplifier will be sufficient to drive them. These speakers will look so good I don't even need to play them lol.

Congrats buddy - have read very nice things about the HD6s. What's the sub-woofer situation with these?

The HDP6's have a 1.5" diameter larger woofer than my current P4's and have the same slit baffle port. But, I also have the Audioengine S8.
