Re: ASUS Z370 Motherboards

I know. Review just does not have credibility. I am sure there are more professional reviews at other sites. Here's one from Amazon:

Amazon.com: ASUS Z270-WS LGA1151 DDR4 Display Port HDMI 4-Way SLI CrossfireX M.2 U.2 ATX Motherboard with Dual Gigabit LAN and USB 3.1 Z270-WS: Computers Accessories

There's only one there too, not many reviews?

Intel Z370 Motherboards Roundup Featuring MSI, ASUS, ASRock, AORUS

Edit: This is not a detailed review, in fact the pictures are the same pulled from two weeks ago. We'll have to wait another day. Only thing I got out of it was the Formula has the Sabre DAC on it which would be the best audio news possible if I weren't going to keep my Essence STX card.

Re: ASUS Z370 Motherboards

Yeah, the formula and code will be in the same range with the formula being highest.

Re: ASUS Z370 Motherboards

Thanks for the links. Great reading. I still will wait for the WS version so I can decide which way to go.

Interesting about the M2 heatsink!

I hope there is a Z370-WS. At first there was no attention to M.2 heat sinks. I don't think at the time the boards came out they were prepared for throttling. Now though ASUS is prepared. The Samsung 960 Pro only uses around 4.7W so it is not a firecracker. It is a stick of gum though and that small amount of heat needs to disappear so no throttling occurs. Having that small aluminum cover I have talked about repeatedly and some thermal tape between it should be plenty to keep the 960 Pro from throttling or even coming close.

One thing I think I read yesterday in the new ASUS EdgeUp I discovered was RAID is possible between all the M.2 slots. Even up to 3 drives. They should also all be UEFI and bootable. This is new on the Z370.
