RGB lighting advice

So as you may know, it has been a while since I built the rig in my signature - more than 2 years actually. So I thought it was time to change things up a bit. Since the build, not much has happened on the processor performance front, at least in the Intel camp, and I don't really want to switch to AMD at this point. For what I do on this rig, my GTX 970 seems to be doing great too - runs pretty much any title I want to at maxed out settings @ 1440p. The 950 Pro is doing great too, and most of my files and media are now in the cloud, so don't really need more space, and the 970 Pro isn't that much of a performance bump over the 950 Pro. So the only way I can change things up is to add in some RGB fans and light strips.

I was considering the Corsair Lighting Node Pro + 3x Corsair LL series 120mm RGB fans.

Current config is as follows - 2x blue 140mm front intake, 2x blue 140mm in a pull config on the radiator. Not going to mess with the radiator fans, but replace the front fans with 3x RGB.

Amazon has a pretty good deal on the above (currently out of stock) but very close to ordering.

Let me know what you guys think!

Re: RGB lighting advice

Those are really nice fans, Corsair link software is what you use for controlling the colors (I think). I think Corsair has RGB lighting strips now too. I have CableMod WideBeam Magnetic LED Strip RGB Kit (60cm) hooked up to my motherboard and use the Asus Aura software for controlling colors. For you just get the Corsair lighting strips so all you need is one software to control both fans and strips. Here te strip I got without the added controller (didn't need it, used the MB header).
