Here's a list of reviews of this cards, if you have a 1080Ti your are in fine shape from what I've read, unless you want to spend $1200 for the 2080TI.

Re: GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti Reviews are in!

Theres a lot to digest in the reviews and I think tne 2080 looks to be a great series, but I have to say again, given present day games, why bother?

My 1080 G1 is killing every game I've played at 1080p and plays most high end games fluidly at 4K, typically around 60fps at very high or ultra settings and thats still on my X48/C2Q rig!

The problem is that theres no new demanding games anymore.
They're all targeting the console platform and nothing is taking advantage of the PC capacity.

Its so disappointing. If only a decent game developer would target PC and stretch it to its limits. I miss the old days of a new must-have game bringing my rig to its knees with sweet photo-realistic graphics and awesome physics. Tweaking drivers and settings for the best performance and upgrading to the latest killer GPU for that extra 20fps. New eye popping candy and amazing A.I. and detailed objects and particle effects...

We seem to be in a gaming dark age where flash games and low quality basic shooters are king Even when the games look ok the A.I. and physics is dumbed down.

All I do now is replay the greats, occasionally. 4K resolution helps to "refresh" them, kinda. But the trouble is, like re-watching old movies, I know whats around the next corner and I've been down that path before.

I'm thinking of getting the HL3 logo tattooed on my arm to raise awareness.
