It's fun to learn. I found it an interesting, enlightening, and truthful article.

Re: * rampage v extreme *

The aesthetics of my rig, I'm more then pleased with. The Corsair Dominator sticks fit right in with my color scheme.
Their black/silver really looks nice with my black hoses. The cherry red lighting/fans, reflect nicely off the Dominator sticks.
They have kits for $25. to change the color of the white led lights of the Dominator sticks.
But the white does not detract from my color theme. The cpu is white/black and other white small lettering here and there.
I wish I could find my cameras memory chip or I'd post some pic's. Also I ordered some red dust caps for the PCI slots.
The Dominator sticks default cooling is really great. I've oc'ed the crap out of em, and they stay @ room temp to the touch...

Cool beans Skully, I am glad you are happy with the aesthetics as well and the OCing ability of your new system. Looks like this upgrade is a big hit for you, it probably even cost you less than normal.

Re: * rampage v extreme *

Thanks Sandog, to me having a quality rig, with high end parts. The same high
end parts must go together, in one great looking theme, at least to me. The
price is secondary, up to a point. I spend a lot of time looking @ me rig. I want
it to look awe inspiring to me and others. Being a square open box, the parts
really need to look great... Yea this upgrade was one of my more economical
upgrades. Its fast and beautiful ...

Re: * rampage v extreme *

I got rid of the red cables, put the default Corsair flat black cables. To me it
looks better... Here's me old setup with red cables on Maximus VII Formula
mobo to compare with...

Ken, post #67 is the pic's of the new R5E, where I used the black cables. Yea the red does look good,
I just like change for awhile, reason for the black cables.
The red cables you were looking at in post # 69 were on the M7F mobo.

Re: * rampage v extreme *

Good job Skully, very unique and enthusiast looking.

I found the flat black cables fit nicely underneath the mobo if you have to.
