Question

I originally posted this on the PIII Overclocking Forum, but got no response. So I thought I'd try it here:

I'm going to be installing Linux-Mandrake 7.2 in my system soon, probably this coming weekend. I'm currently using StuffPCR to overcome the 141 MHz problem in order to overclock to 1102 MHz. Since this is a DOS program, I don't think it will work with Linux even if I first boot into Windows. Does anyone know if there's a Linux equivalent to StuffPCR? (I sure wish ASUS would install this fix in a BIOS update )

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

I would say that your question might have to be posted on LNO. Might want to give them a try.

Thanks, I'll check that out. If anyone could tell me just exactly HOW StuffPCR accomplishes it's task, perhaps someone else could write a Linux version of StuffPCR. But nobody seems to know just what StuffPCR does, just that it fixes a problem. (It's probably a prayer to the DOS Gods )
