Re: Time to upgrade again

It only took 2hrs. to upgrade the Phenom 4core 945 running at 4.0g to a 6core 1100Tblack OC 4.0g. The WEI for the CPU went from 7.3 to 7.5. I put the Cooler Master 212plus heatsink/fan I had from changing to the Antec 620H on the other Intel rig. It took me long because I had to take the MB out of the box to install the heatsink. Good WEI score for a rig that cost about $800.ooUS.

Re: Time to upgrade again

I have been thinking about getting this CPU and waiting for the price to drop. Micro Center has it for $179.99US+tax, and I bought a 4g tube of Arctic MX2 tim. That cost $12.

I'll post this again because I do not believe no one commented on these temps on a chip OC 600Mhz. This baby is running on a air cooler The cooler master 212+ with Arctic-MX2 tim..

Those look fine to me. AMD chips do run cooler than Intel. How does it do under load?

Real Temp and Core temp are the best temp checkers for cpu's.
Both are free down loads. ...
