How to keep te Google Toolbar in Firefox 11+
Firefox are updating their versions rapidly and the Google Toolbar has now disappeared from versions above 4.
I stuck with FF 3.6 until forced to update to FF 11.0 on 24 April 2012 when Mozilla withdrew support. I knew I would lose my Google Toolbar, but luckily there was a brilliant tweak available, which I used. This is shown in links :-

I now have my Google Toolbar back with all the buttons just as previous on my FF 11.0
I use the Google Toolbar all the time, it is important to me. I know that many users hate toolbars, but each to his own.
This note is OK if you have FF 4.0 or below, but if above then I presume that the Google Toolbar will not install because the max-value is set at 4.0, so you cannot do the surgery and change it to 11.0 or 12.0.
The only way I see to get round this, is to install FF 3.6 or 4.0, do the surgery and then update to FF 11.0 or 12.0. But it may be that if you download the Google Toolbar for Firefox, then although it will not install in versions over 4, it may be possible to bring up the data described in the links and make the change.
YES, I do believe that if you insert 12.0 instead of 11.0, then the Google Toolbar will appear on FF 12.0 - one user has confirmed this.
I am sticking with FF 11.0 until I get another ultimatum from Mozilla to update to FF 12.0, but have already inserted 12.0 in readiness.
