Re: Health Care

I do not believe he was borne in the USA. I think that every word that comes out of his mouth is a lie. This can also be said of many politicians. They speak according to who is in the crowd and what sounds the best to them that hear the words that are spoke. I place no faith in the governments of this world. The god of this world has but a short time and then my Lord of lords and King of kings will return. I place all of my faith in him the son of man, Jesus Christ.

Re: Health Care

OK, the thread has been hijacked in favor of Obama, but I guess it loosely accords with Health Care, since Obama does not seem to give a fag about it.

Obama`s view :-
Let da people suffer and die, with over 314 million uv dem, we can afford a bit uv attrition. Anyway, a bit uv water-shed will reduce dat big welfare bill ah av ta pay. Ah can den put all dat money into Afghanistan and sacrifice many more uv ma young soldiers by giving ma Muslim brothers a real headache.

Dey will still vote me back in next time. Just remember what that little `ole Texas faggot Bush did to us all. Next ta Pearl Harbor, he wuz a one man nuke.

Ah dunno why ah ever let dem put me up fer President. Dere ah wus `appily cleaning dose latrines at da Democratic offices in Illinois, gud job really after ma stint as a shoe-shine boy at da local railway station.

Now look wot ahve gotta do - pretend ta be President, make a fool uv mahself on da world stage and walk around like a prize prat. Ah dunna think ah wont another lot uv this crap, rather go back to Hawaii and catch cockerel`s fer da weekly Voodoo high jinks or maybe pack ma grass skirt and bone off back ta Kenya.

Let dat Cinton woman and her sex pervert husband - ya know, da guy who turned ma Oval Office into da Oral Office - av a go next time.

Re: Health Care

I tell you it really is not Obama or even the next president. These guys are puppets controlled by special interest. The powers(global corporate) in place that are to blame. Obama did not write a 2700 page healthcare bill. On page 10 you will find that there is a provision installed to mandate the injection of chips in everyone. Those chips have already been manufactured. These global powers think that the world is over populated to the tune of 4or5 billion. They want to reduce the population down to around 2 billion. Wonder how they will do this evil? A world wide pandemic perhaps? Make a virus and only allow certain persons an antidote against it?

Re: Health Care

When this thread started, I thought maybe we would have a civilized conversation about health care policy. however it has degenerated into extremist, racist psycho babble.
Unfortunate.

I'm sorry but our health care policy is extremist, racist, psychobabble. It's only natural that any intelligent discussion concerning it degrade into same. The powers that be do not want a low income family to have the same health care as a 1%er. So there is a myriad of bull**** brought up around it to justify why they do not do as every other single industrialized country on the planet has done. Your average person is actually brain washed to believe the crap they hear everyday from the controlled media. Again I think the issue was brought up just to shoot down intentionally (health care). I think it will be a long long time before any president uses health care reform as an election point again. It really amazes me how people (especially republicans) just believe whatever lies they are told even in the face of obvious truth. It would be humorous if it wasn't so damaging. So what's wrong with the following..?

insurance companies cannot deny you for pre existing conditions
rates are controlled so they cannot raise your premium every time you get sick
employers must provide reasonable insurance after a certain amount of time with the company
One has the OPTION to choose government insurance if they cannot afford private.
Every american must have some sort of insurance (this would greatly protect doctors and hospitals who lose billions every year from people that cannot afford to pay and the reason medical bills are so high to begin with.)

People would still be able to keep their existing plan. NOWHERE does it say that you MUST have government insurance. That is all propagandist BS. So how does this get spun into words like "Socialist"? What's even worse is people actually believe that crap with out looking into the facts. Again whatever BS the party tells them is the truth. All they have to do is say Jesus! Jesus! a couple times and whatever follows must be GODS truth. It's really quite sad..

Re: Health Care

Obamacare is not about health. It is about control. Giving up freedom, and big government destroying the constitution. I try to tell folks the truth and they just want to keep their heads in the sand. They call me crazy, radical, a lunatic. Wake up people! Don't believe what they are telling you. Watch what they are doing.

Re: Health Care

I don't believe in free healthcare. Those that don't get sick or do idiotic things that cause broken bones will be paying for those that do if there is a tax increase. It won't be too bad if you had to show the costs related to doctor visits on you tax form every year. Those that didn't go to the doctor much could then get refunded.

Re: Health Care

The flaw of democracy - anyone with any opinion can vote!

I like free speech myself as it gives an indicator of the electorate.

Re: Health Care

Truth of the matter is a subsidized health care system fly's in the face of natural laws. Survival of the fittest (natural selection) and the fact that some should not breed. That is the real underlying factor the pol's are reluctant to discuss. This is a bit harsh, I believe that's why it's skirted around!

Hello Jim,

Darwin was perfectly correct and in the natural world, it works and ensures that only healthy species survive. In modern human civilized society our very progress, prosperity and survival depends entirely on the huge advances that medical science has made.

In the Middle Ages and beyond, only the healthy survived. Now with modern medical techniques, billions of people survive both minor and major illnesses and injuries.

NO Jim, The Survival of the Fittest definitely does not apply to modern human society and just like you and I look after our families as top priority, then so should countries. Their human collateral is paramount to a countries wealth and prosperity and free Health Care is worth every cent. After all, we do not scrap our machines and modern goodies when they break down do we ? NO, we repair them and maintenance is BIG business.

USN Jim ? My guess is that you had Corpsmen and damned well equipped hospitals staffed by highly qualified medical teams. I know we did and they saved thousands of lives and patched up horrific injuries so that at least the guys could make something of their remaining lives. If the concept of Natural Selection had been followed so that only the fittest and uninjured survived, my Regiment would have been annihilated.
